A favoured haunt of US soldiers and military advisers during the 60s and 70s, the Rex spent much of the post-war period as a four-star tourist hotel. It was overhauled in 2007 to reopen as a luxurious five-star hotel. Rooms in the New Wing include parquet floors and traditional Vietnamese furnishings. Don’t miss the Rooftop Garden for a sundowner.
